The Lars Thane LT-3100S Iridium GMDSS Solution by Lars Thrane A/S.The Lars Thrane LT-3100S GMDSS System is a new Iridium satellite solution for "Truly Global" GMDSS Distress and Safety communications. Iridium GMDSS is recognized by the IMO and the SOLAS convention, Iridium GMDSS will be more than an alternative to Inmarsat-C, offering truly global coverage and built-in Safety Voice.

The Lars Thrane LT-3000s solution not only offers GMDSS services but also includes Voice, SMS, and Data. The built-in GNSS/GPS receiver will support features like tracking. Interface for BAM and ECDIS. The Antenna Unit can be installed up to 500 meters from the Control Unit. This provides a wide range of options for antenna placement and separation from the control unit.
Worldwide voice and data capabilities on the Iridium Certus “Truly Global” Satellite Network provides true global GMDSS.
The LT-3100S GMDSS standard terminal includes both control unit & bracket mounts, handset & cradle, antenna unit & power cable. The standard version meets all GMDSS basic requirements. Additional services are available like SSAS, GMDSS Alarm Panels and printer, will require the LT-3140S Interface Unit.
