Hurricane Ida hit the Louisiana coast as a category 4 Hurricane, brining heavy rain, strong winds and storm surge. Leaving flooding, downed power poles and loss of electrical power in it’s wake. The storm first hit Port Fourchon before moving towards New Orleans and then Western Mississippi and beyond.
It has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm, but still packing heavy rains brining about flash-flooding and loss of power as it moves further north. Tornado warnings on top of flash-flood warnings continue to be issued as now Tropical Storm Ida continues it’s northern path.
